About the DAKSH Tracer Study

Under the ‘Development of Applied Knowledge and Skills for Human Development (DAKSH)’ project, the Government of Maharashtra has decided to implement initiatives for strengthening vocational education and training in the state.

The DAKSH Tracer Study is an important initiative by the Directorate of Vocational Education and Training (DVET), Government of Maharashtra, with support from the World Bank. It aims to understand how students who graduated from Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) in Maharashtra are progressing in their careers after completing their training.

By collecting valuable feedback directly from graduates, the study will help the government and training institutes improve the quality of technical and vocational education across the state. The insights will strengthen job placements, curriculum design, and linkages with industry — helping future students build successful careers.

About DAKSH

How It Works

  • The study is being conducted by Sambodhi Research and Communications, the technical agency appointed by the World Bank.
  • Graduates from selected ITIs across Maharashtra who completed their training in 2024 will receive the DAKSH Tracer Survey link via Email, WhatsApp, and SMS.
  • The short online survey (10–15 minutes) asks about your training experience, current job status, and future career goals.
How It Works

Why Your Feedback Matters

Your participation will directly help shape better training programs and improve employment outcomes for future ITI students in Maharashtra. By sharing your experience:

  • You help identify which skills and trades are leading to good jobs.
  • You guide your ITI and the Government of Maharashtra to improve training quality.
  • You contribute to building a stronger, future-ready workforce for the state.

If you are an ITI graduate, check your Email, WhatsApp, or SMS for the official DAKSH Tracer Survey link and fill it out at the earliest. Every response counts!

We also encourage ITI principals, placement officers, and faculty to support and motivate all graduates to participate in this important initiative.
